I first I was a little skeptical about this place, but I had a BOGO coupon that I was determined to use. When I pulled up my first thoughts were your typical hole in the wall pizza joint, located in a rundown strip mall. HOWEVER, as soon as I got out of my vehicle the aroma immediately slaps me in the face. From then it was love at first smell. The smell of the pizza reminds you of the streets of New York. The inside needs a facelift with a little bit of TLC, but you immediately are distracted from its appearance when greeted with a warm smile from the manager. Who by the way is such a great guy that is really passionate about his job. I must say it was quite refreshing to witness. I was really surprised by their creative, non-typical pizza menu. There were so many choices to choose from. We finally decided to go with the Bbq and Cajun pizza. OH MY HEAVENS! Seriously, this was some of the best pizza I've had in Utah in a long time. We decided to dine-in and I'm so glad we did. It made our first time visiting WPC that much more special. I can't wait to go back to try their house special. TIP: Bring the family to dine- in for some great pizza and take a short walk to a quaint, charming, little library that sits directly across the street .

I ordered 1 pizza, just 1, with no special instructions. After about an hour I got a call saying there was a delivery driver problem and that they were going to remake my pizza and that it should be delivered in the next 20 minutes. After about another hour, my pizza was delivered, but it wasn't sliced. I called them back, was put on hold, and then talked to someone who feigned interest. All this for 1 veggie pizza. I wouldn't recommend.

My boyfriend and I used to order from Wasatch without fail, every Friday night. A large pineapple and pepperoni. It's THAT delicious. Unfortunately, we've grown so tired of being told "20 to 30 minutes, it will be ready", only to arrive and end up waiting for an additional 20-30 minutes. We even started showing up late on purpose. To no avail. I showed up an additional 15 minutes later than when I was told and upon arrival was told, "It's still in the oven. Should just be another 5 minutes. We'll bring it out to you". I sit down and proceed to flip through The City Weekly. All the way through. After 20 minutes I get up to ask about the pizza as it's now been over an hour since they said it would be ready. The lady goes back to check and brings it out saying, "Oh yeah, it's been sitting on the counter". I wanted to strangle her. And so, it's with heavy hearts that we've had to switch to Papa John's. Although there's no comparison to Wasatch's pineapple and pepperoni, it's always ready on time and they make a killer bbq Hawaiian chicken pizza.

I love this place! I order pizzas for pickup frequently and they are always ready within 20 minutes and absolutely delicious. Additionally, their large 3 topping pizzas are a great price! My favorite is the pepperoni, black olive and artichoke. So wonderful.

The.pizza took.forever.to cook and the service was terrible.we called ahead of time and by the time we arrived he hasn't even started making it. Then when we finally got it an hour later the pizza was bland and undercooked. I won't go back.

I always call this location for delivery to my house and workplace. Most of the time they answer within three rings (rare for pizza places) and they almost always deliver ahead of their predicted time. Also, love their cheesebread! I wish they were open later as they are my favorite pizza place to order from. Overall satisfied customer!

Three pizzas later and I am not a fan. Flies everywhere and bad pizza!! The first pizza I tried was the sausage and onion and while the crust was tasty, there was almost no sauce on the pizza. The sausage looked and tasted like little alpo nuggets. I complained to the staff and they generously made me another pizza of my choice. I tried the Wolverine, which has goat cheese, mushrooms and roasted red peppers. The lady of the mostly all male staff made this pizza and it was pretty darn good. On my next visit (I received a "sorry about that credit") I ordered the Pfeifferhorn pizza which was made with rosemary, feta, mushrooms pesto and sausage.....but again it was served sans sauce! I was told that ALL the pizzas come with tomato sauce, but there wasn't any on the Pfeifferhorn. I have a hypothesis that the grungily dressed and poorly groomed mostly male staff here must hate tomatoes. Either way, I won't be eating their pizza again. The quality is poor, the entire place is filthy, and the atmosphere sucks. You would never want to sit down and eat a pizza here. I wouldn't even want another free pizza.

My friend and I got snowed into SLC this last winter during our Epic Snow Tour 2010. While we were killing time, a local recommended Wasatch to us for dinner. We placed an order over the phone and braved the elements and unfamiliar streets to pick it up, as well as a sampler pack of locally brewed beers. We barely made it back to the hotel room with the pizza intact (it was hard not to attack it on the drive), but man oh man, are we glad we waited. It might have been the surviving off of truck-stop food, it might have been the insane amount of snow.. but all we know is that we freaking loved this pizza. We stuffed ourselves silly and ate the leftovers for breakfast. I can't remember what we ordered, but zomg I want it again. I've recommended this place to several people on their way through SLC and I'll definitely be back again.

We're normally huge fans of Wasatch, but on Friday, we ordered a grizzly gulch, sans meat with cheese on only half of it because one of us is vegetarian, the other lactose intollerant. This is usually an amazing pizza, but today it was delivered very late, was very cold and sadly very crappy.

I haven't even got my food yet and I'm fully regretting this.... The men who work here are dirty and awkward. I only ordered the hot wings and garlic bread. I chose to dine in, but everything is dirty. Sadly the marinara sauce costs $1 extra. I'm not feeling this place at all. Got my food. The hot wings were not chicken wings, it was just a bunch of fat on bones. No flavor. The garlic bread was fine. I think it would be hard to screw up that. I don't think that I will be returning...

This is one of our staple meals. It's close to us, it's really affordable, and it's delicious. They have really good quality ingredients and they load up the toppings. We always get the Widow Maker and the Phifferhorn. We have had plenty of experiences where they get the order wrong, it is actually a common occurrence. However, we keep coming back.

I love pizza. I've traveled far and wide for a tasty slice and the pizza at Wasatch was a suprise. The place is a bit run down and lacks air conditioning which made the place feel like a sauna, BUT when the pizza came i forgot all about the warm air. I tried the gluten free barbecue chicken and the NEW cilantro lime chicken with bacon. I was immediately impessed as I've never tasted pizza like that, it was delicious. Give it a go!

Wasatch Pizza, you and I have a strange affair... First visit - "Wow, this is good! Sauce is good, there's actual spices on the pizza, ingredients are fresh, dough is perfectly cooked...this was an unexpected, super cheap find!" Second visit - "...wow, this is bad. It's doughy, it's bland...what the hell happened? Third visit - "Alright, I'm willing to give you ONE more try, but ONLY one! *takes bite* Yeah, it's decent. Not as good as the first time, but still the best pizza around for the price."

Didn't even get to go here.... Confused because the hours here on Yelp say that you're open until 9:00 PM on Sunday's but when I tried to call to place a take out order and use my Wasatch Savings card, your phone voicemail says you are currently closed. Which is it? Not gonna drive all the way there if you're in fact closed. Get your stuff together please

We are not from the area and when we got there I was a bit skeptical, but it's proven to be one of the hole in the wall type places! The pizza was fantastic! I really love the crust, not doughy and not to crunchy, it's perfect! The variety is great. We tried cheese, the pheffercorn, Maui wowie, bbq chicken and the strawberry dessert pizza. They were all excellent! The Bbq chicken was the perfect amount of spice, tangy and sweet. The pheffercorn was AWESOME if something different is what you are craving (my personal fav). The ham is delectable on the Maui wowie and the dessert pizza had the best crust! A really pleasant surprise, definitely will have to hit up again! Also the staff was really awesome to!

Pizza is amazing. And I'd definitely recommend it. The reason the review is only 3 stars is: I tipped the delivery guy on my card. 3 days later someone calls and says "somehow we forgot to run the tip on your card. Can we get that number again?" I said I wouldn't do that but I would bring in a cash tip for the driver after work. I then got a phone call every hour asking me about running my card again. I finally lost it on guy (he called as I pulled into the parking lot). Anyway I left my tip there with the guy and left. But still some great pizza. Just go pick it up yourself and save the trouble of harassing phone calls.

Wow!...just wow. My friend and I decided to order from Wasatch because we've had their pizza in the past and it was pretty good. It was 6:25 pm when we called in our order, we were hungry and had 3 kids to feed. Here's exactly how our pizza experience went down. Called in our order (for delivery) Ordered a small Pepperoni Pizza (for the kids) a large Chicken Courdon Bleu (for us) a small Grizzly Gulch (for whomever) a garden salad with bleu cheese dressing and garlic bread When we reviewed the prices with them that are listed on their website, they simply stated "We don't know anything about those prices" and they would not honor the prices listed on the website...so each item was about $2-3 higher than we were expecting to pay. Also while placing the order the guy on the phone would say "Hold on" and just click over to do whatever it was he was doing. Very annoying. Told us it would take 45-55 minutes for our order to arrive. After an hour we called and asked for the status on our delivery, the guy told us "The driver left about 20 minutes ago" After another 30 minutes, we received a call from the driver who said he was about "15 minutes away" Our kids were starving, so we called back and said "Ya know what? Just cancel our order" and the guy simply said "K" Terrible that they didn't honor the prices on their website, waiting almost 2 hours... and still no delivery. When we canceled our order they didn't even ask how they could maybe make our next experience "better", or they could have even offered our late delivery to STILL arrive at a discounted rate. Awful.

My review is not necessarily about the quality of the food, but rather our recent disrespectful customer service experience, which as a result, will keep my family from ordering from Wasatch Pizza. My wife came home from running the Wasatch Back Ragnar, and as a reward for all her training and healthy eating, we decided to get pizza. Her only criteria was that it was good pizza and WHEAT crust. I did a search online and found a google result saying "Ask your server about wheat crust options." I've always liked Wasatch Pizza, and with the wheat crust option, it was perfect, so I placed an order online. I wrote that we wanted wheat crust twice on the order, once in the pizza notes and again in the order notes. 45 minutes later, the delivery guy (who was very nice and sympathetic) showed up and informed us that Wasatch Pizza discontinued their wheat crust. He seemed surprised that no one called us to tell us this and ask if we still wanted to keep our order. The pizza itself was fine, except for the fact that my wife doesn't really like white crust, and the whole reason we ordered from Wasatch was because of the wheat crust option. It was disrespectful and sneaky to just send us regular crust without calling to make sure we were okay with it. As a result, we wasted our money and wasted what should have been a fun dinner.

I like their BBQ Chicken and vegetarian pizza's quite a bit. When I crave pizza this place is the first to cross my mind. The reason I can't give them a higher rating is that they lack consistency. I've had their pizza dozens and dozens of times but sometimes the crust is slightly burnt or really thin... Otherwise great pizza... better than the big chains for sure.

We live close by and always order pickup! It's always ready in a timely fashion and $7.99 for a large 3-topping pizza is ridiculous inexpensive for the quality you receive there! One if our favorites is pepperoni, Italian sausage, and smoked gouda! Mmm it's definitely my go-to pizza place!

This is my third pizza review in a row, but I'm trying to fill a backlog of about 20 years of dining and sorting through what it is still around, still local and not a chain (with a few exceptions). Wasatch (this applies to all of them, which are about the same) is one of the most infuriatingly inconsistent pizza joints in the city. They can range from phenomenal, right up there with (though still a notch down from) The Pie and can reach such dizzying lows the very next time that you are tempted to Sharpie-out their phone number in the phone book and forget they exist at all. There was a gap of a good probably 8 years between the time I had it previously and this year and in all that time...they sadly have not improved. I ordered two pizzas, both of them trimmed with disappointment since the Northwest pizza, one of the best anyone made when they were on their game, had been removed from the menu (this was a couple months ago -- it's still on their online menu). I ordered a standard pepperoni and whatever I thought at the time was the most exotic thing they had. I suppose I shouldn't have been super disappointed. About half the time we ordered the Northwest, which was every weekend for a while, it would come without the smoked salmon, the single most expensive ingredient on the thing. This last time the pepperoni was decent, if underwhelming slightly, yet better overall than the more exotic one, which was no suitable replacement for the Northwest. I made the pizza myself from memory, in fact, the following weekend, down to the pine nuts and though the crust was slightly off (I let my wife do that part), it was every bit as good as I remembered, a fairly rare thing as probably most of you who have attempted just such an experiment know. One of the modifications to the exotic pizza was to have them add capers to it. We were given a time and again, despite the store being entirely empty, I had to wait another five minutes for it, during which I got to observe the person in the back cut the pizza, then add capers to it...after it was already cooked. Nice touch, Wasatch. Such care and trademark inattentiveness (sloppily updated website) just serve as a reminder that with all the zillions of other pizza places out there, there's no need to waste time with you ever again, BOGO coupon or not. The 3 star is for nostalgic reasons only -- the last visit would just barely be a 2.

Wasatch Pizza is consistently excellent. Their pizzas are imaginative and daring, with lots of unique and interesting toppings. They use high quality cheeses and toppings and I love their crust as well as their sauce. I've now ordered approximately 50 pizzas from Wasatch over the years and I've really never had a bad one.

Too expensive for what you end up getting and customer service sucks!!! They ripped us off $6 on a coupon and Helen (the GM) wouldn't fix it! Her rude behavior and the fact it took over an hour on a Wednesday night to get our pizza that ended up being burnt is enough for me to NEVER order from them again!

Edited: tried it a 3rd time and it was much better. They got the order right and actually put more than a pinch of toppings on :) The first time I had the pizza we loved it! We ordered pick up. It was super hot and delicious. We got the think crust. The second time... It wasn't hot and there was no sauce. They told us 30 minutes we showed up at 20 and it was ready I can't imagine how cold it would have been if we waited the extra time. We asked for lots of mushrooms and and we received about 3 pieces. We were disappointed that is wasn't as good as the first time. It is a killer deal though!!! I am willing to try it again and maybe sit and eat so it is super hot.

This place is absolutely delicious! The Marinara is one of the best I have ever tasted! I was told it's made there. I highly recommend this place, they are generous with their portions, you definitely get your money's worth. It's totally Salt Lake's best kept secret!

This place is pretty sweet. The sandwiches are truly delicious. Get the sandwiches, any of them, they are served on awesome bread. The pizza crust reminded me more of a New York pizza than most places out here. This isn't a rant about how great New York pizza is, but if you like a little tougher, thinner crust then Wasatch Pizza is the place to go. They also deliver. Get a sandwich. Really.

it's hard to compete with Papa Johns and Pizza Hut for value, but Wasatch Pizza is one of the best places in town to get pizza.

As has been said in other comments, Wasatch used to be a quality pizza place. They had offerings you wouldn't be able to find anywhere else and they used fresh ingredients. After changing ownership a few times, it no longer ranks as a 3 or 4 star pizzeria. A few of the locations have closed and they no longer use the freshest of ingredients. I've been disappointed to see what used to be a quality establishment that provided so many great memories transform into a greedy business that values saving a penny over putting forth a good product. That lack of pride has killed this business and I believe it's only a matter of time before they'll be closing their doors. If you do plan to order from Wasatch, I would recommend trying: Grizzly Pesto (Grizzly Gulch with pesto instead of marinara) BBQ chicken (with or without pineapple) Mt. Olympus (vegetarian option) The Northwest used to be really good in a strange way, but it's no longer offered. If you're just looking for a combination or basic pizza, I would suggest going elsewhere. The three I mentioned above are what I think Wasatch does better than most others.

I'm sorry, but this pizza costs way too much for its rather small size and average taste. The wait took a very long time even though we were the only ones there, and the pasta was just disappointing (1$ extra meatballs tasted freezerburnt, and was drowning in cheese).

The help has a lousy attitude and they close early (maybe so they can go partying). We try to support local businesses, but when the help is this bad, I won't be back. We called at 9:30PM. Their answering machine said they were currently closed, and their business hours are until 10PM. We were only a few minutes away so we decided to drive over. A boy with no customer service skills yelled through the door before I could get in, "We're closed." No apology, no explanation. Just closed. I asked why they would close early on a busy Saturday. He made a comment about their driver crashing his car so they won't do takeout. Not logical at all. When I asked if the manager was there, the kid behind the counter said, "Yeah, me." When I asked if the place had an owner, he got sarcastic. "Some guy who's not here." As I left, he yelled behind me sarcastically, "Have a nice evening. We went to Papa John's across the street and got friendly service, a big discount, and amazing pizza. Next time, I'll skip the sarcastic teenager who is driving Wasatch Pizza in to the ground and just go to Papa John's.
